Pragmatic training programs
If you are a busy person and don’t have a lot of time to research and plan your workouts, here are some great options for you:
A Workout Plan For Everyday People
This is a great all around workout plan which covers strength, endurance and mobility. It’s perfect if you are not picky about your workouts, you have other things in your life to focus on and you just need a simple program to keep you healthy and in shape. All the program details are described here.
Plug and Play workouts
This is a simple-to-follow program with multiple exercise options which allow the often needed flexibility in your training.
In case the plan says “bench press”, but all the benches are taken, or it says “barbell squat”, but your knee is feeling weird today, this program will offer alternative exercises that you can use ad hoc.
The program is mostly focused on the muscle building but it also has a conditioning component. Find all the program details here. There is also a kettlebell training you can do on the days when you’re really short on time.
Train for strength - StrongLifts 5x5
StrongLifts 5x5 is a well known and often recommended strength training program for beginners. It’s a bit more to digest at first because the workout guide is really thorough. But the workout itself is rather simple, especially if you use the StrongLifts mobile apps to guide you through the program.
